NEWPORT COUNTY the Football League Years

I have published many pictures of The County in this site and have had many pleasing comments from old fans of the Somerton Park club. Because of their popularity I have decided to publish the whole County Archive, WARTS and ALL!

Over the years much information has been lost as has some of the picture quallity. These pictures were never meant to be kept for this length of time, being press and programme pictures. Where possible I shall give a caption but others will just have a season e.g 78/79. I am sure that many county fans will identify them for me. Please let me know I would love to hear from you. It will take many months to get through the thousands of negs, some will be good, some will be rubbish. For as many of the older photographers will tell, one often sat for 90 minutes looking at figures in the distance or the backs of heads whilst at the County. Enjoy and feel free to pass comment on the matches shown.
